This position is primarily responsible for assistance with deployment of the new Scanning Solution application, subsequent production application administration and support of the associated processes and business user community. Additional duties may include 2nd tier operational support for the Safety Events web portal and assisting with other duties as requested by the MAIS project manager.
The responsibilities may include: production support, assistance with quality assurance testing activities; identification, documentation, resolution or escalation of user reported issues to IT/Vendor; direct assistance to the new Document Processing Center (DPC) staff with questions related to processes and procedures pertaining to the Scanning Solution.
KEY JOB ELEMENTS
‘Go to’ individual for DPC staff with questions related to Scanning Solution processes and systems
Work closely with Clinical Operations study teams and DPC staff, IT, and vendor-integrator
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve common issues, document findings providing supporting evidence to assist 2nd tier IT/Vendor application support staff
Follow up on issues until satisfactory resolution
Quality Assurance Testing duties include assisting with User Acceptance Testing, authoring and testing as required by the Scanning Solution fix releases and upgrades
Able to gather and to document new business requirements
On the job to develop relevant knowledge and skills
Perform application administrative duties as required by the soon to be established processes, including but not limited to requests for reference table updates, resolution of common scanning & indexing errors, facilitation of requests for new protocol folder setup/changes from Clinical Operation study teams

Prior hands on experience with supporting implementations of imaging systems and business process in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry and regulated environment is highly desired. Familiarity with imaging solutions built with EMC Captiva, EMC Image+/Scan+, EDMS such as Open Text Livelink(Preferred) or others. Past training and experience may have spanned information technology, business analysis, business systems analysis, quality assurance or application support.
